Blanchard, Walker, O’Quin & Roberts partnered with Volunteers of America to host a Holiday Card Design event for participants in the Lighthouse Summer tutoring program. Blanchard Walker gave fourth through sixth graders the opportunity to participate in the design competition in return for a chance to have their drawing featured on the firm’s holiday card this season.
The firm announced the contest winners at a Christmas in July pizza party on July 11. Out of 20 entries, the firm awarded first place to Zekerria Marshall, a 5th grader, second place to Camella Gladney, a 5th grader, and third place to Leony Zavala, a 5th grader. The firm presented each of them with a certificate of achievement.
Zekerria’s design will be featured on the Blanchard Walker’s holiday card this year. All participants enjoyed pizza, games and goodie bags concluding their summer program at the VOA Lighthouse.
