Mac Zentner, a recent graduate of the Greater Shreveport Leadership Program, has reached a significant milestone in his professional journey. Established in 1977, the Greater Shreveport Leadership Program, under the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, is a comprehensive initiative that shapes the next generation of community-focused business and civic leaders. Mac completed the year-long interactive program, gaining insights into the crucial issues impacting the region’s economy.
Each year, as part of the program, the Greater Shreveport Leadership class designs a project to support the local community, often raising money to donate to a charity agreed on by the class. Mac actively contributed to a community service project undertaken by his class. The 2023 Class held a raffle and other fundraisers as their class project, which successfully raised over $6,000 in proceeds that was donated to the Salvation Army of Shreveport-Bossier to help restock the family room, update playground equipment, and help further the nonprofit’s mission of supporting those in need in the community.
In addition to his recent achievement in the Greater Shreveport Leadership Program, Mac is marking his third anniversary at Blanchard Walker, having joined the firm in September 2020 following a two-year clerkship for the Honorable Chief Judge S. Maurice Hicks, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Mac recently argued before the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal and was successful in obtaining a favorable ruling for the defendants from the appellate court, which reversed the trial court’s ruling and granted summary judgment in favor of the defendants, dismissing plaintiff’s claims.
Mac is an active member of the Harry V. Booth-Judge Henry A. Politz American Inn of Court, as well as the American, Louisiana State, and Shreveport Bar Associations. His dedication to professional development and community service reflects a commitment to making a positive impact in both the legal field and the local community.
Congratulations, Mac, on your accomplishments!
