July 24, 2018 – Blanchard, Walker, O’Quin & Roberts partnered with Volunteers of America to host a Holiday Card Design event for participants in the Lighthouse Summer tutoring program. Blanchard Walker gave rising third through fifth graders the opportunity to participate in the design competition in return for a chance to have their drawing featured on the firm’s holiday card this season.

The firm announced the contest winners at a Christmas in July pizza party on July 23rd. Out of 20 entries, the firm awarded first place to Ja’ Milla Marshall, a rising 4th grader, second place to Mar’ rionna Brown, a rising 3rd grader, and third place to Sydney Eason, a rising 4th grader. The firm presented each of them with a certificate of achievement.

Ja’ Milla’s design will be featured on Blanchard Walker’s holiday card this year. All participants enjoyed pizza, games and goodie bags concluding their summer program at the VOA Lighthouse. Blanchard Walker attorneys and staff, including Mike Adams, Tom Arceneaux, Jerry Edwards, Stacy Williams, Matt Allen, Ann Olsen, and Sara Patronella served and assisted with the party.
